One New Years resolution I have made before, and really try to keep, is this: To rise above the little things.Here's to all of us having a great 2012!!!

Gratitude

Gratitude is a form of wisdom. It's patient, loving, hopeful, and rigorously honest. It denies nothing, and it overlooks nothing. It looks reality full in the face and says: This is true, this is me, this is my situation, and I have the opportunity to build from here. Right now, the beginning of 2012, is a perfect starting point. Unfortunately, 2011 was not good to many of us. So, lets make today a new beginning and really treat it that way. Let's not dwell on what might have been and only concentrate on what can be!!!

God, I don't mean to bother you none It's been a spell since I talked to you last. I reckon I ought to thank you for all you do Cause this ole cowboy has had quite a past. I'm gettin' too old to drive these herds ... My bones hurt and my temper gets short But somehow these younger boys need this old man When they get to missin' home and get a little out of sorts. As I sit here talking to you now I can't imagine not bein' right here Listenin' to the night critters makin' their noise You're lookin' down on me so I have nothing to fear. You've been really good to me You've given me a lot of years to ride these trails It's fed my family but not made me rich And my youngin's love my tall tales. I pray you'll guide me along with all these cattle Along the way let there be plenty of water and feed And keep the wind a gentle breeze and clouds in the sky Cause with these things, it's all we really need. I'm gonna say goodnight for now I always feel a might better after talkin' with you Thank you for listening to this old cowboy And God....I love you too.

Cavalliere Ranch

May there always be work for your hands to do. May your pocket always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine on your windowpane. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. And may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you’re dead.

Thanksgiving on the Mountain.

We will be having Thanksgiving on the mountain with family and friends. I know it will be a great time and we will miss the ones who will not be with us. I am going to do my best to take pictures. I hope everyone has a Great day, we our Blessed to have all of you in our lives.

We were so Happy that Hack and Mary stayed with us on the Mountain for a few days on their way to Uncle Hack's Class Reunion. I wished I could have spent more time with them, but as it always is We our the last to arrive. It was Great to see them.
